A hook and loop fastener (commonly known as Velcro) consists of two primary linear fabric strips: a hook side covered in tiny stiff synthetic hooks and a loop side covered in soft pliable hairs. When pressed together, the hooks catch the loops to form a temporary, adjustable, and reusable bond.
